i'm back

so it's been a while! but never fear, i have returned. a lot has happened since last we met.

mostly been working and taking a shit load of classes lately. once i started taking class hardcore for the first couple weeks, it eventually caught up with my body and said "slow down, we have to adjust to this much activity!!" i realized that i hadn't been THAT active since high school or ucla dance camp. i would be dancing 6 hours each day every day...and boy, was i in tip top shape.

so obviously, being in college for the past 4 years i didn't keep up with that schedule. so now that i'm getting back into the groove, it's taking a bit more time to get used to it.

but i do feel great. my goal is to be in dance class whenever i'm not working or rehearsing or auditioning. i always feel my happiest and most productive when i'm taking class, so i need to keep it up. and do LOTS of it.

ps. took dana moore's class at steps with steph (thank you stephanie, thank you!!) and it was awesome. i'm going tomorrow too. she's one of fosse's awesome dancers and one of my favorites from the fosse dvd. she's....so...awesome.

went to new hamp with brianna and mike and christine and andrew. it was so great. i had a great getaway weekend and loads of fun. it's nice to escape from ny every once in a while, you know? deep down, i knew how much i needed it all this while....but i figured i was fine and wasn't really that desperate for some time off....but I NEEDED IT. thank heavens.

what else, what else...started rehearsals again for happy sunshine. show goes up JULY 26TH @ THE ZIPPER...COME SEE IT!! we have two new cast members and terrific special guests...paul rieckhoff (author of the critically acclaimed chasing ghosts, founder of IAVA, and nationally recognized authority on the War in Iraq) and hunter bell from broadway's (title of show).

also, jess's wedding is coming up soon...CAN'T WAIT!! and i'm trying to go home sometime in the very beginning of august.

so that's it for now. just trying to stay positive, keep things in perspective and keep the motor runnin'. adios amigos.
